You are wrong about a few things. It will stop and start for you in traffic and at a light although it does wait till a little later than you may want. You were driving in snow so that was the reason you had a small issue with keeping in your lane. Did you talk about it being real wheel drive in that model?

The thing about Model 3 is that the battery is bolted from both sides, you have to remove most of the cabin interior to be able to remove the battery. Hours and hours of work same shit with the Model Y. So far only S and X can remove battery from bottom bolts. And it will soon get worse the battery will be a integrated structural body part, last but not least ; Tesla will not let us use our battery for V2G. Next car for me will be a V2G car. Sorry Tesla will miss you. 😥

Okay quick question, is there a chance that the screen like stops working one day or like freezes up randomly? I’m really iffy on things like cars that that rely on touching apps and screen rather than manual.

I heard Tesla have quality and built issues like gaps in door panels and use of cheap plastic in some part fragile back window etc. Just have to see how these cars last. Great tech plus charging facility but poor build quality. Still waiting for Lexus electric vehicles with solid state batteries

7 dögum síðan
I've heard the same about Tesla. But in the two I've driven (Model 3 and Model Y) I haven't noticed any build quality issues. I agree though, if you're looking for a safe, long-term purchase, a Lexus is probably a safer bet. In my mind, Teslas are expensive toys that are likely to break in a few years. But, in the meantime they're insanely fun. As long as you understand that risk, I don't see any problem with buying one.

At 23:30 you are wrong the car will slow down and stop on its own because of the car in front of you. But overall I really like the reviews.

Really? Thanks for pointing that out. I'll try it on my next Tesla...but I'll have my foot hovering over the break pedal the entire time. That's going to be a terrifying first attempt. I tried something similar with Nissa's ProPilot and nearly died of anxiety the first few times.

"its been a couple of hours since I got the car" "Tesla Model 3 Full Review" Hey, I can at least say you made me laugh
100 Rental Cars
7 dögum síðan
I laugh too at that stuff while I'm editing. I think, "what an idiot I am sometimes." Anyway, glad you enjoyed the video. And just to give you a peak inside my process, I film my videos throughout the day as I drive them. So some of the clips are from the first few hours and others are after 24 hours. But....you are right. It is a bit arrogant of my to do a "full review" after only driving the car for a day. Then again...the channel's not big enough (yet) for dealers to lend me cars. So the best I can do is rent vehicles like this for a day and give it my best try.

I've heard the same. The way I see it, these are expensive toys that are likely to break in a few years. If you're good with that, then I don't see any problem buying one of these. They are a TON of fun to drive. But...if you're looking for a reliable, long-term purchase....you might want to buy something else. Just my two cents.

It’s good for the environment and very advance in technology. I’m willing to trade my mustang GT but the problem is charging (I live in a condo/apartments) don’t know how I will charge it
100 Rental Cars
7 dögum síðan
Yeah, that is a challenge. So far I've rented two Teslas (Model 3 and Y) and went to a few charging stations. If you have a super charger near your apartment, you could probably charge it up in about 40 minutes. So if you're cool making that part of your weekly routine, you could do it. Another option is to find a charging station near your work. I work in the Chicago and my parking garage has both Telsa chargers and "normal" chargers. So you could do that too. Just a thought. Anyway, thanks for watching my vid and for the comment. Cheers!

@100 Rental Cars thank you that is interesting to know. Ill put in research on leasing. Thank you for your response.
100 Rental Cars
7 dögum síðan
I don't know. At this point I think it's a risk. Telsa hasn't been around long enough for us to determine how reliable these vehicles are. My best guess, is no. This isn't a lifetime vehicle. But, if you're cool with that, then it's an amazing driving experience. So, maybe this could be a good vehicle to lease?
Allan Halas
11 dögum síðan
does this have smart summon?
100 Rental Cars
7 dögum síðan
I'm not sure. I rented it off Turo so I wasn't able to use the Telsa app. I only got the card to lock/unlock/start the vehicle. I know this one had remote lock features, because the owner told me he could help me out if I locked myself out. And I did do a quick Google search and apparently the summon feature was added for Model 3 back in October of 2019. But....I can't confirm that with actual personal experience.

@100 Rental Cars lol. I will rent it on Turo for my next vacation. I need more time with this car than a 30 minute test drive
100 Rental Cars
7 dögum síðan
Dude, you gotta take a test drive. It's an experience everyone should have. Do you have a Tesla dealer within reasonable driving distance? If so, schedule a free 30 minute test drive. Then come back and we'll plan how we're both going to afford it.

100 Rental Cars
7 dögum síðan
Me too. I even looked at buying a used Model 3, but they're still pretty expensive. Telsa does offer free test drives. So if you have a Tesla dealer nearby, you could at least try it out. Be careful though, it's really hard not to say, "F$$$ it, I'll buy it on credit!"

I don't think so. Then again, there are SOOO many menus and features I could have missed it. I did a quick search and Google says, YES, it does have it. But I can't confirm that with personal experience. It'll just have to be a surprise when yours arrives! :)
Nick Joslin
13 dögum síðan
You really should've stopped at a supercharging station and showed us what the charging experience was like. Charging time and ease of charging is a major component of these cars.
100 Rental Cars
7 dögum síðan
I agree, that was one of many mistakes I made. In my defense, I only had the car for 24 hours and we had a major snow storm (9 inches over night). But....I recently rented a Model Y and I did take it to a Super Charging Station (video to come soon). Took less than 30 minutes to charge up 40% of the battery. Which isn't too bad, right? Anyway, thanks for the constructive criticism. I really do appreciate it, because it helps make my videos better. Cheers!

I was trying to figure out where you were on the expressway (I-88 and Rt 59). I'm originally from the Chicago burbs and wow, traffic really moves along at a pretty fast clip. Also in the snow, you can change your driving settings to "slip" which will allow you to avoid too much traction control intervention

That was a great review. Subscribed. Two questions: 1) In the US, is this charging on a 110 or 220v circuit? If it’s 110 then obviously no special installation required in the garage. If it’s 220 then it would need an electrician. 2) probably a dumb question but does it have conventional brakes? Or does it just somehow use the electric motor to stop? I know you explained the motor stops it at slower speed but just wondering how that works...

I know Tesla owners love the current layout of the dashboard and peripherals, but I always thought that they should at least reduce the size of the infotainment display and add an instrument cluster display behind the wheel. I know people will say then it looks like any other car - yes - it would and it would also make it easier for the driver to drive comfortably without having to move his eyes away from the road as all driving information will be in your immediate visibility.

I have seen Tesla reviews before, plenty of them, but the 2021 model is a first experience for me as well. A lot has changed. I was reluctant to click on the video because I assumed it was going to be same old nothing new, tedious Tesla Model 3 review. However I must say that I liked this one

All those extra "games" on the screen are a waste. Sadly, until there are more gas (power) stations placed along the highways and faster charging methods, I don't see too many folks taking them for a long drive if they have to wait an hour for a charge. That doesn't sell at all when compared to gasoline vehicles.
Carey Mulligan
27 dögum síðan
Tax rebates went away for Tesla in the US at the end of 2019. You can still get the $7500 rebate for more recent electric models like the Ford Mach E, but the rebates dwindle down until sales get to a specific quantity sold. However, the Model 3 you buy today has improvements that make missing out on the rebate, worth it.
Carey Mulligan
24 dögum síðan
@Ismael Carrillo no, I’m saying the Tesla you can buy today vs the one you could buy with the $7500 tax credit, has improved so much, that it’s worth not having a credit option anymore. Plus, I don’t think the full 7500 was available since the 3 was introduced, but info about that varies. I just know it completely went away in 2019, where it was only a fraction of the 7500.
Ismael Carrillo
24 dögum síðan

Almost everything about this vehicle is utterly unacceptable to me. Why can't I just open the damn glove box. Where are the instruments and climate controls? Do they really think it is acceptable to have to go into the single display to and hunt for these things? There are certain controls and readouts that should ALWAYS be visible and accessible. Until they address these types of issues, I will never buy one.
