Welcome to the life of Enterprise IT....if not anti-virus its always compatibility/driver issues! I have spent a ton of time looking at compatibility matrixes, driver release notes, and current issues. Sometimes the issue can be bugs in the newer drivers so I wonder if they tried older bios, OS, and firmware combinations for all components. It can be so aggravating and time consuming.

Perhaps, next time, invest some more into your server instead of trying to save a few on eBay, with something you are unsure about. You have enough funds to do so. You can't expect everything to work flawlessly when it's coming second hand, and you can't expect support as if you're a paying customer, you didn't pay the retail price.

Its possible you have problem with Intel driver. You see, the legacy Intel driver for PCI and Bridge are from around 1986, and Microsoft took Intel driver legacy variant from 1992. It is possible that your machine runs on this. Both drivers provide up to 15 or 16 lanes that was the top possibility of the technology back then, and since today CPU and Bridge tries to handle all this data all together, rather then E3, Bridge, Driver, Xeon, RAID or whatever, problem occur after 15th drive has been added. Same thing are happening to miners who have MBOs with 19x GPU slots, even if using x1 speeds, they cannot get working more then 8-12 PCI lanes, just because of a legacy Intel driver thats installed everywhere and thats like legacy recommended one by Intel and Microsoft. Whatever you do, its possible that you are still running on ancient driver technology. IDK If Level 2 RAM Cache can help, or some CPU tweaks, including OS CPU and memory tweaks for responding, caching or something similar.

I sent in a motherboard to ASUS for an issue where C1 and C2 ram chips are not recognized by the mobo. The Mobo cost about $800 when it was new. They "fixed" the problem and sent me back my motherboard, which STILL doesn't recognize ram in the C1 and C2 slots! When I tried to send it back, they let me know, it was already fixed and sent back. My 2 work arounds are to never use ASUS again or buy larger ram to compensate for the lack of use of some chips.... BY ASUCKS!

This is what every tech support guy deals with every day. A customer who thinks they know more than they actually do who makes demands that don't make sense. The Intel drives were fine, but LTT screamed at Intel to replace them and so they did. And then after Intel replaced perfectly good drives Linus spends 3/4 of the video talking about how "stupid" Intel is for sending them back the same model drive (which works perfectly fine). Weird to post a video like this, unless the goal was to make themselves look bad?

This video strikes me as super whiney and first world problems. Intel sent you working drives that your engineering sample motherboard doesn't support. Its always been the consumers responsibility to make sure you're buying compatible hardware. Since other motherboards support these drives, you should retitle this video to something like Gigabyte cost me $10,000 in unusable hardware.

I contacted the seller and I provided all the video evidence that they need. And all that they said was, "just a one bad sector and everything else working fine", but my problem was, that I couldn't omitted the bad sector and every time stores my data, it ended up being corrupted.
