I would actually completely disagree with the drop out rates idea. What it should be isn't one or the other but both. Because then people can make an accurate decision. Because when we're dealing with a percentage you need to have the original number. So for instance given your example. Of 0.001%-0.002% it is a 100% increase but also a 0.001% increase. However the overall number should be taken into account. If this number was something like 100,000 it would essentially be like 1 person more dropping out which isn't a big deal. But if the number was something like a billion that's an extra 10 thousand people. So it's important in my mind to give all pieces of information in order for people to decide for themselves accuractely

About the 1/7000 vs 2/7000 at 8:00. it's reasonable to say that it's a 100% increase and be concerned about it. If you see it another, and still completely correct, way, it means that 21 428 women out of 150 000 000 will develop a blood clot vs 42 856 out of 150 000 000. yes, it's "only" 1/7000 vs 2/7000 but it's also 1/7000 vs 1/3500. it makes a very big difference

In reference to 5% -> 10%, I would rather say that drop out rates doubled within the last year, as I feel this paints the clearest picture. 100% can imply all students dropped out if misinterpreted, 5% increase can seem like a miniscule increase, or 5% of 5% which is 0.25% increase. Saying it doubles enables the audience to know that it was a 100% increase, without the misinterpretation as well as making it seem like a large increase, but not exaggerated

you should do a video on averages, we assume averages are the end all be all, but it isn't. For example, in my school district during distance learning, the average grades of kids stayed the same, however, the graph of the percentiles showed that it went from a normal distribution, most kids getting C's, to a split between F's and A's, still resulting in C's. Statistically speaking, the average grade is still a C, but average is not the right way of presenting the issue

And we do study about this kind of statistics when you focus your studies on helping your cause without trying to go against your cause most of your statistics are gonna be false and based . Like even when you change your risk of being wrong from 10% to 5% to 1% ( yes we have a risk of being wrong in our statistics and we can change that risk until our statistics are right ) . And about correlation till this day we have limited knowledge about that .
